Armco to Curtail Welded Pipe Work at Ambridge Plant

Armco Steel Corp will discontinue its welded pipe and electrical conduit facilities at the Ambridge Pennsylvania works by April 1. About 350 workers are affected at the welded pipe mill, while the larger Ambridge plant continues with seamless standard pipe and oil country tubular products for some 2 100 employees.
