Bender Promises Inquiry On Ohio Soldier Case
A Cleveland three man delegation won a promise from Congressman George H. Bender that a congressional inquiry would be considered into Pvt. Gusik’s 16 year sentence for killing two civilians near Leghorn Italy. The Army board reduced life to 16 years but kept the conviction lawful. Jewish War Veterans press for investigation arguing no evidence tied the gun to the killings. The group plans to seek Morse support and hold hearings on Capt. Cochran’s case alongside.
