South Bend girl freed after day as hostage
A 17 year old South Bend girl Loucinda Sherman was released unharmed after more than 30 hours held by two robbers in Rosenbaum's Department Store. FBI agents assisted in the search as police pursued the gunmen who had taken six people hostage including two officers and the store owner’s wife.
