Franklin levy plans to be aired at spring meeting
Franklin Board of Education will discuss plans for a millage levy in the spring and an in house suspension system for unruly students when it meets at 8 p.m. Monday in the Little Theater at Franklin High School. A final levy amount depends on 1978 cost projections versus state aid. A state aid report is usually received in early January. Also slated are tuberculosis testing progress and high school reroofing updates.

Franklin Municipal Court sentenced 30 year old Carlisle man James L. Yates to 10 days in jail with four suspended for driving while intoxicated. Crary with varying fines, suspensions, and jail terms. Thirty-two speeders faced fines or bonds totaling $975.
