Woman Blames Whisky For Hotel Theft
An attractive 29 year old, identified as Mrs Madelyn Ruth Evens of Youngstown Ohio, was charged with assault and robbery after a Hotel Globe theft. She told police she acted "because of drink" and tearfully blamed whisky, stating she would never touch a drink again. Evens said she was a college graduate and briefly served as a WAC lieutenant, but offered no occupation or address.
