President Kennedy is expected to announce Joseph V. Charyk as head of the new US commercial communications satellite company. The 42 year old Canadian born engineer will run a post with a salary of at least 100000 dollars annually and lead a federally sponsored private venture to launch satellites for commercial communications. Eleven Airmen Buried in Single Arlington Grave
Eleven airmen who died in 1944 when their B25 crashed in New Guinea will be buried together in a single grave near the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. After a long search, their remains were recovered in 1961, brought home for military honors, and identified posthumously. The service at Ft Myer will include Catholic, Protestant and Jewish chaplains with an honor escort from the 3rd Infantry Regiment.
