Corrections officer Spicer jailed over misconduct case
Spicer, a Middletown corrections officer since 1997, pleaded no contest to a third degree misdemeanor and was sentenced by Judge Mark W. Wall to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine. He resigned Feb. 16 amid discipline talks. Officer Quick, 34, resigned Jan. 10 after an internal probe found immoral conduct and conduct unbecoming for making inappropriate sexual comments to a 13 year old girl and touching her leg and buttocks. the sheriff will re-evaluate the case.
