Court Upholds 4 Contempt Convictions in Ohio

The Ohio Supreme Court affirmed contempt convictions of Anna Morgan of Columbus and three Cincinnati men for refusing to answer questions before the Ohio Un American Activities Commission. Debts Blamed For Kidnapping Attempt

Four new earthquakes rocked Siena Italy today adding to a 24 hour total of 35 shocks. The strongest tremor cracked chimneys in ancient buildings within the Roman era walls causing widespread alarm though no casualties were reported.

A new television type engine analyzer from DuMont detects ignition and timing problems by projecting light patterns on a screen. The device clips into the ignition system, runs on the car battery, and shows separate patterns for each cylinder to locate fouled plugs, faulty coils, worn bearings, and other faults in seconds. Washington's Birthday Not Seen as Holiday in Dayton

Dayton police say Washington's Birthday is not a legal holiday per city code. Officers issued tickets and towed cars for overtime parking while meters exempted payments on holidays. Lt. R. M. Uncertain Weather Ahead For Miami Valley

Forecasters predict a break up of the high pressure ridge over the Miami Valley as a southwest low pressure area moves in bringing warmer air and a chance of rain or snow. The official forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high near 35 and a low around 25, then milder Friday with possible rain or snow later. Middletown reported a high of 35 yesterday afternoon and a morning low of 15 degrees.

Dozens of new bus boycott arrests are expected as 10,000 Negroes prepare for a mass meeting in Montgomery, with a planned prayer pilgrimage day to press for racial justice. Rosa Parks, E. D.
