Portable X rays Bring Tree Health Inside the Woods
A Forest Service team uses portable X-ray equipment to inspect trees for rot and internal disease. The setup includes a camper-bus and an all terrain vehicle with a dark room where radiographs are processed in ten seconds, enabling early, nondestructive diagnosis for preventive forestry medicine.
