Soyuz 13 lands safely after eight day flight

Moscow AP reports the Soyuz 13 mission returned to Earth with cosmonauts Maj. Pyotr Klimuk and Valentin Lebedev, after a nearly eight day flight. Tass notes all onboard systems and scientific equipment functioned properly throughout. The craft made a soft landing on a snowy Kazakh steppe about 210 miles from Baikonur. The crew exited unaided and felt excellent.

Coal Grove Man Dies In House Fire

A 44-year-old Coal Grove man identified as Lowell Vaughn died early today when his home was destroyed by a fire in Coal Grove Ohio. Firefighters found the body after tackling the blaze at the residence. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire with no other injuries reported.
