Welfare program aids aged and disabled in Butler County
Butler County Welfare Department marks two years of the Service Employment program for aid recipients the aged blind and disabled. The program funds come from Public Careers Ohio and federal sources with Butler and Montgomery counties as pilots. Services include home repairs lawn care transportation meals and more plus work on rental properties under certain conditions. Senior Citizens Center Reopens This Wednesday
The Senior Citizens Center at 1905 Columbia Ave will be closed Monday and Tuesday for Christmas. Wednesday schedule starts 1:30 p.m. open house for new members, 2:00 entertainment, 2:30 refreshments, 3:30 bingo. Thursday features sewing and a 7:30 p.m. dance with doors at 7 p.m. Friday includes a sunshine committee meeting at 10:15 a.m. and league bowling at Sports Bowl Lanes at 1:00 p.m.
