The Rowan County coroner indicates Grady B Mars 43 died by a self inflicted gunshot wound in his bedroom after reporting depression since refusing to testify before the House Committee on Un American Activities. Mars linked to the Ku Klux Klan by a congressional investigator previously served as a US Air Force MP. He died en route to hospital with a .38 caliber revolver found beside him.
