No KKK Meeting In Newport Leaves Hall Empty
In Newport Kentucky the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan planned a meeting at Fogies Aerie No 280 but could not enter the Eagles hall and their leader failed to appear. Parkie Scott of near Osteonia Ohio organized the event. Kilansmen arrived and left after learning no meeting would occur. Pete Plagakis, Aerie president, held doors with a $15 rental check and accused misrepresentation by the Klansmen.
