Big Blast Hinted In Mt Silvertip Search For Airliner

Ground search teams prepared to probe rugged Mt Silvertip about 125 miles east of Vancouver for a Trans-Canada air liner missing with 62 aboard since Sunday night. A lead spoke of a big blast near the 8 550 foot peak from nine lodge guests on the Hope Prince ton highway. Teetotaler Tripped Up By Spirits in Derby Court

Stanley Toplis, a Derby railway pipe fitter, admitted distilling spirits without a license. He claimed scientific experimentation produced a 4 proof drink from fermented potatoes and sold it to coworkers at 1.19 per bottle. A customs analyst called it equivalent to good commercial whisky. Planes assist search for missing Air Force trainer
