Deadly weekend crashes kill two in Butler County
A severe string of storms and slick roads during the weekend contributed to a pair of fatal crashes in Butler County. Larry J. Conway, 20, of Somerville, died when his car hit a tree on U.S. 127 near Seven Mile. Maude Houchins, 38, of Hamilton, was killed when a car collided with a Pennsylvania Railroad train at Vine Street crossing in Hamilton. Airman James H. Hammond, 19, of Sumter, S.C., was critically injured in a head on collision south of Franklin on U.S. 25. His wife Margie, 16, and infant Vicki survived. Police charged the other driver, Robert W. Moberly, 28, with second degree manslaughter after the Vine Street wreck. The crash remains under investigation.

Injured Man Spends Day On Bridge
