Middletown AARP seeks tax aide volunteers in 2005
Middletown chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons calls for volunteers to serve as tax aide counselors. The free service assists elderly and low income residents with tax filings. Training is required for IRS certification and runs January 3–6 2005 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Middletown Public Library. Volunteers work at least one day a week from February 1 to April 15 2005. Oxford Miami University will move Reid Hall to make way for a new business school at the corner of High Street and Patterson Avenue. Trustees vote December 10 on President Garland’s recommendation. If approved, Reid Hall will be razed in fall 2006 with completion of the business school in 2008.

Cingular Wireless LLC plans a speedier 3G mobile Internet rollout next year in a substantial number of markets by end of 2005 and most major markets by end of 2006. It will boost capacity after acquiring AT&T Wireless, with current tests in six cities including Dallas Detroit Phoenix San Diego San Francisco and Seattle.
