Armco Drainage & Metal Products announces a six million project to produce a new line of prefabricated wide span steel buildings. S R Ives says the prototype plant on Jeanette Street will create about 530 jobs initially, expanding to 150 in full operation, with B D Morgan Co handling grading and foundations. The 100 by 1500 foot building features cold formed truss steel and exclusive design elements for rapid, low cost construction and will serve manufacturing, freight, warehousing, and agricultural uses.
