Ronnie and Donnie Myers aged 11 and Billy Myers 12 drowned when their old flat-bottom boat tipped while crossing a farm pond on Greenbush Road. Edgar Wooldridge 11 witnessed the accident. Rescue squads from Germantown and Box 21 recovered the bodies within 15 feet of the shore as witnesses described a panic before water intake. The deaths were ruled accidental drownings by Preble County coroner Dr. Richard Siehl.
