Rap Brown conviction upheld on wiretap ruling
An appeals court in New Orleans upholds the 1968 conviction of H. Rap Brown on a firearms charge. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled government wiretaps were legal, saying they were ordered by the attorney general under the President’s inherent national security power.
