Downtown Rose Furniture Closes After 50 Years in Middletown
Rose Furniture on Main Street will hold a going out of business sale as owner Herb Feldman, a 44 year longtime local, retires amid a stagnant economy and what he calls an unfriendly climate for small shops. He cites downtown changes, aging traffic, and parking as factors shaping the final closing. The Cohen family retains ownership of the 18,000 square foot building.

Salt brine allows preemptive treatment up to seven days before storms, reaches pavement crevices, and could save about $47,000 annually with an expected October installation.
