CVS restricts nail polish remover sales to curb meth production
CVS Caremark begins requiring buyers 18 or older with photo ID to purchase nail polish remover and limits quantity in a move to curb methamphetamine production. The policy mirrors controls on pseudoephedrine and is tied to acetone based manufacturing concerns. Experts note similar steps may spread to other pharmacies despite no state mandate to track solvent purchases.
