Luther Burbank and his early plant life and work
A short biographical sketch notes young Luther Burbank in Lancaster Massachusetts caring for a cracked cactus jar. It recounts his later potato seed experiments, the rise of the Burbank potato, and his move to California for his significant agricultural work. The piece also touches on a 1972 Ohio legal notice and a statewide transfer request for a liquor permit.
