Registration Woes May Be Abbreviated
Miami University offers off campus registration in Dayton Norwood and on campus options. Registration by mail ends May 21 and on campus in person registration is encouraged for easier enrollment. Teams of advisors will visit centers May 9 through 19 with schedules for Upper Miami Valley Cincinnati and Hamilton Middletown areas to ensure equal access.

Army Specialist Elam Ships to Korea and Navy Midshipmen Visit
Army Specialist Four Fred H. Elam recently deployed to Korea and is assigned to the 76th Artillery Headquarters Battery. He entered the Army in 1958. Miami University NROTC midshipmen Daniel S. Wilkin Jr. and Joseph M. Hinkle, both freshmen, visited Pensacola Naval Air Station. Wilkin is engineering major from Middletown High School, Hinkle a physics major and Monroe High School graduate. 2d Lt. John E. Blust, a Middletown High and University of Dayton graduate, completed the 17 week field artillery officer basic course at Ft. Sill. Navy fireman Paul E. Adams Jr. participated in a Navy Marine Corps exercise off Camp Lejeune aboard USS Pandemus. Gunners mate 1st class Peter P. Martinek serves aboard USS Nitro with the Sixth Fleet. Marine Private Charles R. Hatton serves with the First Marine Brigade at Kaneohe Bay. Larry J. Callahan serves aboard USS Saint Paul, homeported at Yokosuka, after a six week cruise to the Philippines, Hong Kong and Okinawa. Pvt John A. Sora completed eight weeks of advanced individual training at Ft. Riley with the 1st Infantry Division. he is a Fenwick High School graduate.
