Mrs Mary Ifcic, age 88, native of Czechoslovakia living in this city since 1911, was feted Sunday afternoon at granddaughter Mrs LeRoy Izors home. A buffet dinner and three tier cake marked the birthday surprise hosted by Mrs Izor and Mrs Ifcies children. Attending were 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

May 3 breakfast blends art with fellowship at church
The First United Methodist Church hosts the 22nd annual May Breakfast on May 3 from 6 to 10 30 a m at Fellowship and Epworth halls transforming into art studios. Irene Casperson and Maxine Fletcher demonstrate the Ala Prima method while displaying finished works and sample wet into wet techniques. Paintings will be for sale along with decorative items like pot plants and pallet shaped place mats.
