Passengers Complete Trip After Soviet Detained Crew
Most of the Soviet Arctic passengers and crew reached Tokyo and Seoul with authorities releasing most survivors. The downed plane, a Boeing 707, had two dead and ten wounded, as US pressure sought information on the detained pilot and navigator.
