MORE POWERS OF 11 LEADER OR INDIVIDUAL
The central government should be given sufficient power over matters involving more than one state. Financial independence would be granted to both the central government and the individual states. While taxing authority would be limited, the central government should have power to distribute federal tax funds to the less wealthy states. The Socialists favor government ownership of major industries and seek central government control of major taxation sources to finance their plans.
