Leaving town at 65 A retirement move to Florida coast town
Retiree R J Conyers moved with his wife to a Gulf Coast Florida town chosen for sunshine and a like minded community. He notes old neighbors aged out, new social networks form quickly, and shared resources cut costs. The couple found retirement life easier with local doctors, Medicare familiarity, tax help, and friend based support systems. They urge selecting a town near children, staying put, and being proactive in making friends to avoid isolation.
