Violent storms kill two and injure many across regions

A front of violent storms swept the eastern third of the nation causing at least two deaths and numerous injuries. In Jackson Tennessee a tornado killed one and left 60 injured while destroying homes and two mobile home parks.

Good Samaritan jailed after life saving ride ends in fines

Walter Landerer, 22, a funeral escort motorcycle driver, was ordered to six days in jail for failing to stop at a red light and speeding to aid a drug overdose victim. He led the car to Kettering Memorial Hospital after a motorist pleaded for help. he could not pay $56 in fines.

Water officials say no change needed despite trace carcinogens
