Two government planes crash at Sunnyvale golf course

Joe Ruiz and his wife were golfing at a Sunnyvale course when two government planes collided and fell on the fairway. Ruiz said he ran for cover after hearing the noise, while Joan Jarvis driving nearby described a blazing scene and feared there were no survivors.

Driving in Circles Ends in Car Tragedy Near Gratis

Police say Bessie Riley of 824 Central Ave may have suffered a heart attack or been run over by her own vehicle at Gratis and Lower Gratis roads, about a mile west of town. Deputy notes she was driving in circles all night and may have exited as the car rolled backward after misplacing it in reverse.
