Ohio House to vote on mining rule to end double bonding
Ohio representatives planned action on a bill to remove duplicate bonds and reduce paperwork for coal strip mines. Sponsor Rep. Arthur Bowers said the change would streamline administration and enforcement by the Division of Reclamation. The Senate had returned from a break and approved other measures including interpreter retention for non English voters and tax exemptions for centennial sale items.
