Oscar Awards Turned Into A Lively Hollywood Party
At the 50th Academy Awards in Hollywood the event resembled a birthday bash with politics and glitz. Woody Allen’s Annie Hall led with four Oscars including Best Picture while Star Wars won six mostly in technical categories. Vanessa Redgrave accepted Best Supporting Actress amid pro Palestinian protest and a chorus of criticism from Paddy Chayefsky. Jason Robards won Best Supporting Actor for Julia, You Light Up My Life took Best Original Song, and Madame Rosa was named Best Foreign Film.
