Death by Own Action Near Walden Inquest Verdict
A 17 or 18 year old boy using the name John Hawkins, employed by W. W. Howell near Walden, hanged himself last Tuesday the 7th. An inquest returned a verdict of death by own action with no apparent motive. A stranger to the area, he had lived there since April 20 after staying with Joseph H. Howell in Little Brittain Ulster County. He said he and two sisters worked in a boarding house at Cornwall.
