St Pauls Methodist Episcopal Church friends wrap up a successful fair with an auction that raised about 1100 dollars. Mrs Corey organized weeks of prep and led the effort with help from Harlem supporters and local clergy, drawing strong community support and praise for the display and benevolence. The February term of the Orange County County Court and Court of Sessions opened with Hon. Stephen W. Fullerton, County Judge, and Justices James E. Waterbury and John D. Wood presiding. Fire Ravages Germantown Hotel and Barn in Port Jervis

Saturday afternoon a fire at the Germantown Hotel and barn near the old Delaware bridge destroyed the buildings owned by O. H. Brown with an estimated loss of 5000 dollars, 2000 insured. Silas H Case and wife suffered furniture loss of 1000 dollars, plus the wife lost clothing. A fine horse belonging to Geo Case and a buggy were also burned, bringing total losses to about 5850 dollars.
