Mrs Alisa Klausner of Jerusalem will speak at Mt Zion Baptist church Sunday at eleven am on Jews and Arabs and the Twain Shall Meet. The lecture aims to shed light on Palestine struggles and the Jewish question today and tomorrow.
The Booker T. Washington Tornadoes defeated Industrial High of West Palm Beach 20 to 0 in the homecoming game at Dorsey Park. The Panthers have three wins and five losses with notable victories over Shaw and West Virginia State, while CIAA foes Hanover and Howard beat them earlier. The Rattlers clinched the SIAC crown with a 12 point shelling of Clark and extended their winning streak to eight and 15 over two seasons. A parade of floats bands and majorettes accompanied thousands along the street.

Two 1944 arrests of 12 Fort Lauderdale African Americans for refusing to pick beans on a Broward county farm owned by Dewey Hawkins were dismissed after an out of court settlement. Each sought 5000 dollars alleging arrest without warrants unlawful detention and fines without trial. Attorney Kenneth Oka said the settlement satisfied the plaintiffs.
