Little Rock Council Orders Arrests Of NAACP Leaders
In a heated move eight of ten aldermen approved a revised ordinance demanding NAACP officers file reports with the city clerk. Klan member gets 20 years in mayhem case
In Birmingham, 31 year old Joe P. Pritchett was convicted by a Circuit Court jury of mayhem for the Ku Klux Klan mutilation of J. E. Aaron, 33, last September. The judge imposed the maximum sentence of 20 years. Prosecution says Pritchett identified Floyd as Klan captain. Floyd performed the mutilation with a razor blade.

Nine youths arrested after school bomb scare at Dorsey Jr High

Dentists Win Certificates at Miami Seminar
Dentists earned certificates after a two day Miami seminar on dentistry for the handicapped sponsored by United Cerebral Palsy and the Florida Society of Dentistry for Children. Over 60 dentists from 20 Florida cities attended this first program of its kind outside New York City. Three Columbia University consultants Jerry Adelson Seymour Koster and Janice Schreiber led the course to advance dental care for persons with disabilities and to promote prevention and treatment programs in the dental profession.

Man Surrenders After Killing Friend in Dade County
Earl Bryant, 41, of 1508 NW 6th Court, is in Dade County jail on a second degree murder charge for the shooting death of George Crouch, 36, at the same address. Bond set at 1500. Bryant claimed self defense after Crouch stabbed him with an ice pick. A coroner's inquest is planned for next Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Justice Francis J. Christie's Court.
