President Eisenhower Thursday named J Ernest Wilkins to chair the new Civil Rights Commission. Divorced: Wannamaker holds in Bunche Park murder case
Florida A and M University schedules Thanksgiving break from November 27 to 29. In Bunche Park at 2540 NW 158th St. Road, Lawrence Wannamaker killed his wife Sarah on Thursday evening. the couple had divorced Wednesday and the husband was to vacate Friday. Wannamaker remains in sheriff custody as the Orange Blossom Classic runs December 12 to 16.

Poison gas outbreak leaves one dead in Miami apartment
A dead 27 year old Miami waitress and 19 others hospitalised followed anti termite poison gas escaping from an adjoining building at 1040 NW 3rd Ave. The dead is Lilian Adams of apartment 4.
