Three Children and Two Preachers Slain in Georgia
Five people including Jim Turner, a 76 year old Baptist preacher, and his four relatives were found dead in adjoining houses in Cairo Georgia. Turner was stabbed eight times in the heart and his head beaten with an axe. Three Turner children ages 8 10 and 4 were killed with throat cuts and head injuries. John Harvey Arline a 50 year old Baptist preacher was shot dead in the next house. A shotgun was found under a bed and Hattie Mae Turner 32 wife of Jim Turner is being held for investigation.

Housing Parley Called Off After Fatal Shooting

He described a struggle and said Sharpe reached toward a hip pocket, leading to the fatal gunfire. Auto Train Crash Victims Buried in City
Three people died in last Thursday’s Goulds auto train crash. Beatrice Galloway, 26 NW 17th St, died instantly. Paul Cohen, 1531 NW 62nd Terr, died Saturday night from injuries. Laura Bethel, 1710 NW 5th Court, was the other fatality. Funeral services were held for Bethel Wednesday and Galloway Thursday at St Mary’s W M Church. Reverend Culmer officiated. Cohen was funeralized Friday from Church of God in Christ with Pastor Elmert A M Cohen.

Move to Fire Airport Porters Dropped
