King of Clubs Forum to Host William L Dawson Sunday
The final program of the 20th Series King of Clubs Winter Forum will be held Sunday February 26 1950 at 430 p m in the Booker T Washington High School auditorium. Guest speaker is Hon William L Dawson United States Congressman from Illinois First District. He is a Fisk and Northwestern Law graduate and has held major Democratic leadership roles. The event promotes student and parent attendance to hear a nationally influential figure.

Train Collision In Kendall Leaves Two Dead
Mrs Laura Bethel and Mrs Beatrice Gallo were killed as a northbound train struck a car at Goulds crossings. Paul Cohen, 50, of 1531 NW 62nd ter, driver of the car, was seriously injured with a broken leg a fractured hip and head injuries. The train was either stopped or just starting to move when the crash occurred. Crossing gates blocked three Goulds crossings including the one a mile north of the station. FEC said the train was likely in motion after picking up the conductor.

Airport Plans To Fire Negro Porters
The Dade county port authority and area airlines plan to replace nearly one hundred Negro porters at International Airport with White University of Miami students. The shift, to take effect March 1, was announced by Port Director A. B. Curry and has met union opposition from Local 500 of the Transport Workers Union and the Federated Airline Workers of America. Civic groups protest the firing of local taxpaying citizens for transient college students.

Brown Sub Site Abandoned For Slum Clearance Project
The Brown Sub site at NW 27th Ave and 54th St was abandoned by the Miami Housing Authority as the planned location for 500 public housing units. Executive director J. T.
