Mrs. Edward T. Graham presented a three point program to the Inter denominational Ministerial Alliance urging civic awareness. The plan calls for March 5 as a day to teach the ballot’s value, 75 women and 25 men as captains to survey church members voting status, and March 18 for mass registration from 1 to 5 pm with ministers leading their flocks to the courthouse.

A $500,000 FHA financed Albertha Heights project with 80 units on 27th avenue and 50th street in Sepia Miami was dedicated Sunday. Attendees included FHA adviser A L Thompson, Dr I P Davis, Hon Jesse Yarborough, Rev Edward T Graham, and many community leaders. Danniel Dorsey High School Chorus provided music as officials praised public housing efforts and the project owner W B Sawyer spoke about funds and living standards.

Civic Leader Honored for Long Community Service
Mrs. A. M. Coleman a veteran Miami civic figure and president of Friendship Civic and Garden Club will be honored at a testimonial Monday at 8 PM. The program at St. Agnes Youth Center 1738 NW 3rd Court will feature a mural portrait by Rev. L. H. Portlock. Coleman has lived in Miami nearly 30 years and led multiple local efforts while serving as secretary of Christian Hospital trustees and director of the Dade Vacation Bible School. She also sits on the Wage Earners Life Insurance Co board and Carver Branch board.

Young Democrats Target 25 000 Voter Registrations
Negro voters flood county books as 250 names join daily and about 4000 new voters qualify. The Young Democratic Association aims for 25,000 registrations by the April deadline. Most new registrants join Democrats and many Republicans switch sides. Negro registration in Dade stood at 9,174 on February 1 when books opened.

Knife killer slaughters four in Brooklyn rampage
A 19 year old released from a hospital for the criminal insane slaughtered four strangers and stabbed three others in a ten minute Brooklyn spree. William Jones was restrained by police after pursuing through three blocks and was later held on homicide charges at Kings County hospital.
