Glen Hepburn son of John A. Hepburn and city clerk of Boys Town earned two major letters in football basketball and track with minor letters in football and basketball He starred on the Boys Town basketball squad which captured the Nebraska Class AA title last winter and earned all state football and basketball honors plus Catholic high school all American football recognition He also serves as a corporal in the U S Army Reserves.

Wife shoots husband over baby's funeral in Florida

In Floral City Florida 31 year old Albertha Wright shot and killed her husband Clifford 40 after a day long dispute over burial arrangements for their 7 month old daughter Cliffe. Wright jailed on first degree murder charge. Dennis Williams 52 bound over for circuit court on first degree murder for fatal bar shooting of Joseph Randolph 44 at the Jockey Williams bar over an $82.95 club check. Williams bond set at 7500 dollars and he remained jailed.

Mizell declines appeal of $15,000 libel verdict

Florida board cancels certificates of 37 teachers for fraud

Seventeen regular and six substitute teachers had their teaching certificates canceled by the state Board of Education for fraudulently obtaining college credits. The action paused further revocation while allowing possible reapplication later. The case involves former Florida Normal and Industrial College students and charges against Frank T. Wilson for selling unearned credits. Gov. Collins and State Supt. Bailey noted potential criminal inquiries and varied guilt among the 37 women.
