Dade County teachers meet at Phyllis Wheatley Elementary to discuss making social studies functional. Fourth and fifth graders studied basic human needs food shelter clothing and compared modern needs to primitive man. Palestine study for sixth graders focused on Near East history with Bible medieval and modern phases.

Omega Psi Phi Grand Conclave Comes to Columbus Ohio
The thirty fifth annual Grand Conclave of Omega Psi Phi will meet December 27 to December 31 with about six hundred delegates from 195 chapters in the nation and Canada. Ohio State Iota Psi and Mall Iota host chapters have prepared at Capitol Building Annex midtown Columbus.

The Seminole Charity Dept No 17 CBS thanks everyone for helping the November 14 1948 benefit for the unfortunate. Rev Brown preached a fine sermon and the Worthy Matron spoke on charity. Quartettes and selections by Seminole Chorus entertained. dinner outdoors. Donations totaling 175.81 were given to Jackson Memorial Hospital Christian Hospital Ola Folks Home and others in need.
