Teenager shoots man in fatal Austin altercation
Jade County sheriff reports 33 year old Austin Hamilton died after an afternoon dispute over a chicken dinner at 750 NW 46th St. Frank M. Selly, 18, of 2753 NW 45th St., was arrested for first degree murder and held without bond awaiting a combined preliminary hearing and coroner's inquest. Hamilton's body was released to Senior's Funeral Home and viewing scheduled Friday afternoon.

Patterson KO's Rademacher for second title defense

Miami Bus Segregation Case Delayed by Federal Judge Stay
Federal Judge Emmett Choate granted a stay on rulings voiding Miami’s bus segregation ordinances while the city pursues an appeal in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Two weeks earlier, Judge Choate found city and state bus segregation laws unconstitutional and ordered amendments by September 1. Miami City Atty.
