Mexico Women’s Club GFWC meets to name Carol Mudd sophomore Pilgrimage delegate for Jefferson City on April 12. Reporters and officers briefed on the state convention April 4 and 5 in Hannibal and the Vocational Technical Nursery School art display at the library.
The Dirt Daubers men s garden club meets Tuesday at 7 p m in the Production Credit Building for their monthly session. Hay Kimmel University of Missouri st Columbia agronomy specialist will present a vegetable gardening program covering planting times weed and insect control water needs and harvest. New members include Mrs Joe Jacobi Mrs Tom Stapleton Mrs Gary Ride and Mrs Alan Atkins.
A dense list of local meetings and activities runs from March 17 to 21 including THURSDAY events for FOE and Mothers Morning Out, health checks, and PEO chapters. FRIDAY covers Audrain Extension Council and OATS Bus trips. SATURDAY adds dances, music club, and a carnival. SUNDAY features Audrain Historical Museum hours and OATS trips. MONDAY notes DAC meeting and a North American Benefit with multiple activities.
Whatsoevers Hold Pantry Shower by the Whatsoever Circle of the Kings Daughters and Sons met at the Home Tuesday afternoon for their business mix and pantry shower of miscellaneous items. Mrs. Strode Edwards presided. Mrs. Rudolph Hampton led the program and read from the Silver Cross on the Lenten season. Mrs. Enineite Altrogge gave the devotion. Activities included group singing and a Bible quiz by Mrs. John Pedersen. Ten members attended. next meeting scheduled April 1 at 2 p.m. at Mrs. Altrogge's home.
