ARNOLD, Mo. AP One youth was killed by a shotgun blast during an attempted robbery of a package liquor store on U.S. 61. Gary Pursifall 17 of Eureka died. Christel Christopher, 18, and Rick Ehrler, 26, both blind, met June 23 at the Guide Dogs for the Blind training school in San Rafael. Blast Burns Family Of Three In Sikeston Fire
Three people, Harold Clark 40 Jolene Clark 38 and Deborah 17, were seriously burned when an explosion and fire leveled a Sikeston Missouri home early today. Clark in critical condition with 40 percent burns Deborah 60 percent burns Jolene in fair condition. Fire Chief Larry Linnemeyer said the blast at about 1 am likely caused by lightning and that flames or smoke were not initially seen. The blaze melted copper tubing and damaged two neighboring houses.
