Mr T F Morse, an ex convict who served four years nine months of an 11 year manslaughter sentence, spoke at two Reformed churches. He warned against dancing card playing theater pool saloons and similar evils, sharing firsthand lessons from his downfall. He promised to return with his young son accompanying him.

Obituary of Mrs Katherine Ostermann of Sioux County
Mrs Katherine Ostermann nee Lasse born February 28 1887 in Hannover Germany died May 9 at age 80 after long illness. She married Job Ostermann in 1858 emigrated to America in 1884 lived in Lowden Iowa Maurice Sioux County later Kansas Sylvan Grove and Storm Lake before returning to Readings Township St John Lutheran Church where funeral was held. She leaves sons George and Christ daughter Mrs H E Mueller 25 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Pallbearers included Henry Becker Casper Herdbuch Dettmer August Herman and Louie VanderHamm.
