Bulk of GSU employees to get pay hikes due to tax increase
About 160 Governors State University academic staff would receive an average 9.94 percent salary rise under a tentative agreement reached by the Board of Governors and University Professionals of Illinois. The deal, retroactive to Sept. 1, would affect 1,964 academic personnel and was tied to a 20 percent rise in the state income tax to fund higher education.
