Greenfield development plan seeks brick facades and boulevard design
The Greenfield project proposes brick cladding on the first floor facing a street and 30 percent of units with brick elsewhere. It envisions two residential zones with a main entrance on Steger Road and a north–south boulevard opening to a traffic circle with a focal feature. The plan triggered opposition in April 1977 when first presented to University Park, as Richton Park residents gathered 433 petition signatures and officials noted the land lay within Richton Park’s 1 percent planning boundary. In August 1997 Hryn moved the subdivision to Richton Park, which later annexed the property.
