Iceland Café to Open in Matteson After Major Renovation
After seven months of extensive work, the building at 4800 W Lincoln Highway in Matteson near Interstate 57 is set to reopen as Iceland Café. Owners Mike and Dino Campos renovated the former Bob Evans site, installing stainless steel kitchen walls, new plumbing and electricity, and updated floors. The restaurant will serve frozen custard and jumbo hamburgers and aims to open by month’s end. Five work crews completed the project with ComEd pole removal taking two weeks.
