Will County Fair Shows Rural Life Through Decades
A long running Will County Fair reflects a rural way of life amid urban growth. Veterans like Herman Weichbrobt 85 and Linda Swiercinsky 56 recall the fair’s enduring atmosphere while noting changes in land use and demographics. Officials say the five day event drew about 60 000 visitors 400 exhibitors and 1 300 livestock entries with 4-H programs expanding to urban youth.
