Suburban College faces enrollment decline and staff cuts

Burns banned in Frankfort as leaves burn ban spills over

Residents in Frankfort village face leaf burn bans for all but three days while neighboring unincorporated Frankfort Township may still burn but only away from streets and away from large fires. Officials say township lacks authority to ban leaf burning and would act only under strong resident pressure. Snornton Township Board Rejoins Illinois Association of School Boards

Snornton Township High School District 205 board members voted Wednesday to renew membership in the Illinois Association of School Boards after previously voting to nonrenew last spring. Five members were present and voted unanimously, though Sharon Voliva and George McNally were absent. Wayne Sampson of IASB attended last month and discussed the group’s political action committee.

Tinley Park District Seizes Vogt House From Rymar Inc

Dellimore named emcee for NAACP convention banquet

Craig Dellimore, WBBM Newsradio 78 emcee and Illinois journalist, is chosen master of ceremonies for the 59th annual NAACP convention banquet. The event occurs October 21 at 7:30 AM at Chicagoland Expo Hotel Harvey. Dellimore joined WBBM in 1983 and has held roles from anchor-reporter to legislative correspondent and managing editor.
